THE VENUE: DA, KUNSTHAUS KLOSTER GRAVENHORST

The district of Steinfurt converted the former Cistercian convent of Gravenhorst, which dates back to 1256, into an art museum during the Regionale 2004. With the church, the mill, the mill pond, the bakery and brewery as well as its moats, orchards and historic bridges, the almost completely preserved convent complex is now a cultural tourist attraction. In addition to participatory art projects, there are changing exhibitions, light and sound art, concerts as well as art and history education.
