VIRTA ON OCTOBER 22ND AT HAUS SIEKMANN IN SENDENHORST
Post-jazz with trumpet, guitar and drums
The post-jazz group VIRTA combines Nordic jazz, electronica and post-rock with avant-garde sensibility. The instrumental trio, consisting of Erik Fräki, Antti Hevosmaa and Heikki Selamo, is known for its exciting live performances and has demonstrated this at the Münsterland Festival at Haus Siekmann and at the Landpartie at Haus Harkotten.
The band's roots go back to 2011, their debut album "Tales From The Deep Waters" sold out quickly and was praised by critics and audiences alike. The musicians are also making a name for themselves internationally: they have performed at the 12 Points Festival in Dublin and the Match&Fuse Festival in Oslo, among others. Their new album "Horros", in which VIRTA expand their modern soundscapes with new instruments and Finnish vocals, will be released at the beginning of October to coincide with the start of the Münsterland Festival.
In cooperation with the Förderverein Haus Siekmann.
VIRTA will also be performing on October 22nd as part of the Landpartie in Sassenberg.

THE VENUE: HAUS SIEKMANN IN SENDENHORST
Haus Siekmann - a former aristocratic residence with agricultural use - is the center for social and cultural education and communication in the town of Sendenhorst. The facility has been available to the people of Sendenhorst for a variety of purposes since 1998. The barn, which offers fine acoustics with its timber frame, and the fireplace room are the venues for a rich and varied cultural program.
