A versatile, musical firework

Tuija Komi is a Finnish bundle of energy who impresses on many levels: with her powerful voice, her versatile singing style and her artistic flair for nuances. She is coming to the Münsterland Festival at Haus Brückhausen with her quartet.
Tuija Komi has always sought a connection to her Nordic and Karelian roots in her songs, which can be clearly heard in her new concert program. The accomplished musicians Peter Cudek (double bass), Stephan Weiser (piano) and Martin Kolb (drums, percussion) allow her singer to shine. They are perfectly attuned to each other and perform with precise, bouncy timing. As a quartet, they ignite a multifaceted musical firework display of modern jazz, pop, tango and world music, which also surprises with edgy, archaic-anarchistic sounds.

In cooperation with Haus Brückhausen and the Kulturkreis Everswinkel.

Haus Brückhausen was an influential manor house in the region for centuries. First mentioned in a document in 1361, it was extended around 1600 for its owner at the time, Caspar Höfflinger. In addition to a moat around the house and farmyard, the multi-storey brick manor house was also built, which has been preserved to this day. The beamed stucco ceiling in the large hall, which is unique in the Münsterland region, is well worth seeing.
