Minimalist chamber pop from Vienna
Casual, elegant, classic, powerful: the Donauwellenreiter fascinate their audience with a sound full of poetic radiance, innovative and gripping at the same time. At the Münsterland Festival, they are guests at the opening of the Kulturgut Haus Nottbeck.
Founded in 2010, the quartet achieves something that few can: Their contemporary music is as accessible as it is challenging and inspires the audience with high quality and artistic substance. The musical influences and experiences from pop, jazz, (neo-)classical, chamber music and folklore merge into a fascinating whole and are more than just the sum of the parts.
Live on stage, the interplay of piano, violin, drums, cello and vocals really comes into its own. Performances as a duo or trio alternate with works with a full line-up, rhythmic playfulness stands alongside clear structures.

To set the mood for the concert, there will also be sound installations by Austrian-born artist Mirijam Streiblat the start of the event , with the sound artist performing live in the courtyard of the Kulturgut.
THE VENUE: KULTURGUT HAUS NOTTBECK
You can see as far as the "Teuto", in the other direction almost as far as the Sauerland. Five kilometers from the Ems, east of the Beckum mountains, the view opens up. On the edge of the East Westphalian region, on the outskirts of the Stromberg district of Oelden, lies the former manor of Haus Nottbeck with its 600-year history. Today, the prestigious, listed estate is a vibrant cultural asset. It houses the Museum of Westphalian Literature and a modern cultural forum in a historic setting with a stately flair and rural charm.
