"With the Finns"

Four virtuoso musicians with a twisted stage show, handmade music and a large portion of provincial madness - that's the Gankino Circus. Fast-paced melodies, quirky humor and charming stage characters are the ingredients of this concert cabaret, which was awarded the German World Music Prize RUTH and the World Music Prize Creole Bavaria in 2019.
It is all the more fitting for the Münsterland Festival that the group Gankino Circus from Dietenhofen in West Central Franconia feels magically drawn to Finland - and is making a stop at the Altes Zollhaus in Senden. The new program is called "With the Finns": Finnish polkas meet Franconian rock'n'roll and virtuoso world music from their own pen merges with unconventional interpretations of old Finnish folk songs or classical works such as "Finlandia" by Jean Sibelius.

In cooperation with the cultural office of the municipality of Senden.

The old customs house from 1587 is the oldest building in Senden's town center. It was given its name after its renovation, which was completed in 2022, because it served as a customs house between the Duchy of Berg and the French Empire from 1811 to 1813. The Old Customs House is the new meeting place in Senden. It was acquired by the municipality of Senden and completely renovated with the active support of the Senden local history association.
