Finnish dance culture is coming to Emsdetten on October 14 at the Münsterland Festival. The two Finnish dancers Marje Hirvonen and Nella Turkki will take guests on a journey of discovery and introduce them to the tradition of lavatanssi. Lavatanssi is a Finnish tradition that is still alive today. A meeting place, usually in nature and often by the lake, where people meet and dance together. Literally translated, lavatanssi means stage dance.
Afterwards, guests learn the first steps themselves. Finnish tango, jenkka, humppa and waltz are the typical Finnish dances. All to the lavatanssi rhythm with short refreshment breaks. There are also original Finnish cinnamon buns fresh from the historic bakery, coffee, Finnish beer, licorice and other Finnish sweets.

There is no such thing as bad weather, only good ideas. We defy the rain showers and move from the Kulturhof Deitmar to the atrium of Stroetmann's factory.
