NEW VIENNESE CONCERT SCHRAMMELN: THE SOUND OF VIENNA REPACKAGED
The Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln play Schrammel music in its most original form, but in a contemporary guise.
The quartet was founded in 1994/95 with the aim of drawing more attention to Viennese folk music in the instrumental field with fresh expression and new musical forms. Countless old "Weana Tanz" and marches provide the quartet with inspiration for something new. The musicians play old as well as many new compositions of their own and are constantly refining their sound.
It is the sound of Vienna, created in Viennese wine taverns, appreciated by the most famous musicians, which they now perform in concert halls around the world. Their tours have already taken the Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln to around 25 countries, but they always come back to the Heurigen in Vienna.
VENUE: CASTLE NORDKIRCHEN
Nordkirchen Palace is the most important Baroque palace complex in Westphalia and is therefore often referred to as the "Westphalian Versailles". Today's palace, built according to plans by the Münster court architect Gottfried Laurenz Pictorius and completed by Johann Conrad Schlaun in 1734 with a magnificent park, is now owned by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. For many years, the palace concert series has been firmly established there in the Oranienburg, offering a top-class and varied musical mix ranging from classical piano recitals to chamber orchestra concerts.
