JUKKA PERKO AVARA ON OCTOBER 13 AT THE METALLWERKE RENNER

Jazz in the spirit of confidence
Typical for Jukka Perko Avara is the extensive approach to music: with saxophone, acoustic guitar and electric guitar, the trio of Jukka Perko, Teemu Viinikainen and Jarmo Saari creates unique melodies and transforms strong narratives into short stories.
Jukka Perko can look back on a long and successful career as a saxophonist in legendary bands and orchestras. Teemu Viinikainen's playing - expressive, pulsating and virtuosic - has made him the most sought-after jazz guitarist in Finland. Jarmo Saari, who works as a musician, producer and composer, is one of the most distinctive guitarists of his generation.
The music of Jukka Perko Avara resembles, if you want to imagine it visually, a black-and-white film shot using the latest technology: Finnish and melancholy, but always hopeful.
In cooperation with Metallwerke Renner and Department 4 of the City of Ahlen.

THE VENUE: METALLWERKE RENNER

A special musical experience under a shed roof in the midst of riveting machines, spinning benches and lattice boxes: that's what you get at the Metallwerke Renner site. The company has been opening its production hall for readings, exhibitions, studios and concerts for many years.
Products for everyday use are otherwise manufactured in the stamping and edging plant: Buckets, tubs or dustbins. For the festival concert, the unique industrial ambience is converted, furnished and illuminated.
