Sabela Caamaño and Antía Ameixeiras are the stars of new traditional Galician music. Founded in 2018, the duo released their first album in 2021 and revolutionized the Galician scene. Accordion, violin and vocals combine traditional music with contemporary sounds and take a fresh, profound and careful approach to the musical heritage.
The two artists show the essence of the Spanish region of Galicia with expressive live performances. As the green gateway to the Atlantic, their homeland's climate and landscape are reminiscent of Ireland or Brittany - and the music is a bit like that too. In FARB, CAAMAÑO&
THE VENUE: FARB - FORUM ALTES RATHAUS BORKEN
In summer 2020, after several years of renovation, the FARB on the market square in Borken was opened as a cultural venue and town museum. The building ensemble consists of the medieval Heilig-Geist-Kirche church and the old town hall and has been extensively renovated. A permanent multimedia exhibition on the history of the town, modern exhibition rooms, a project room, the printing workshop and a varied cultural program invite visitors to discover and enjoy cultural encounters.
