Discussion on the image of Spain in Germany
Hardly any other country in Europe is as popular in Germany as Spain. Millions of people spend their vacations on the Iberian Peninsula, especially in the Spanish coastal regions. They enjoy the climate, the cuisine, the culture and traditions. And yet, the German image of Spain is sometimes characterized by clichés and stereotypical views. The German expression "That seems Spanish to me" is still part of everyday language.
The LWL Museum of Art and Culture hosted an unusual discussion on the German image of Spain at the Münsterland Festival. The special thing about it: The participants shared a professional and personal interest in Spain. The audience also had the opportunity to ask questions.

THE VENUE: LWL MUSEUM OF ART AND CULTURE
The LWL Museum of Art and Culture in the heart of Münster brings together more than 1000 years of art from the early Middle Ages to the present day. Newly opened in 2014, it displays treasures of art and culture in 51 exhibition rooms in a completely new presentation. The light-flooded museum foyer, which is open to the public, is the venue for numerous events: Concerts, readings and theater performances.
