With the prINT printmaking project, the Kulturelle Begegnungsstätte Kloster Bentlage, the FARB and the Druckvereinigung Bentlage e.V. once again invited exciting printmakers from the host country to the Münsterland Festival.
The Spanish artists Elena Jiménez, Javier Abad Alonso, Francisco Javier Barrajón and Carla Vilchez Retamosa were guests at the Druckvereinigung's workshop for a joint residency back in May. They are experimenting with classical and modern techniques to reflect social, political and personal themes.
Printmaking plays an important role in Spanish cultural history. Influential artists such as Pablo Picasso, Francisco Goya and Joan Miró each worked in different graphic techniques during their creative periods and left behind impressive works. The invited artists showed that printmaking is still a central medium for innovation, exchange and the communication of emotions and stories today.

In cooperation with Druckvereinigung Bentlage, Kloster Bentlage and the town of Borken.

Artists and guests of the Bentlage monastery in Rheine find relaxation and concentration
in Rheine when they take in the tranquillity of the Bentlage recreation area. Founded in the 15th century, the monastery offers exhibitions with a focus on printmaking and displays documents and art treasures from the monastery's history in its own museum as well as modern art from the holdings of the LWL Museum of Art and Culture in the Westphalian Gallery.

In summer 2020, after several years of renovation, the FARB on the market square in Borken was opened as a cultural venue and town museum. The building ensemble consists of the medieval Heilig-Geist-Kirche church and the old town hall and has been extensively renovated. A permanent multimedia exhibition on the history of the town, modern exhibition rooms, a project room, the printing workshop and a varied cultural program invite visitors to discover and enjoy cultural encounters.
