EMILE PARISIEN QUARTET

A collective musical lightning bolt
When the members of the Emile Parisien Quartet played together for the first time at a jam session, they felt as if they had been struck by a collective musical lightning bolt. They knew they had created something new. For 20 years now, jazz has been their common breeding ground, in which each member can sow all kinds of seeds - from classical music and contemporary sounds to rock, electronica and chanson.
Their new album "Let Them Cook" is like a breath of fresh air, stirring up classical jazz and transporting it into the spirit of our times. The purely acoustic sound gives way to a mixture of acoustic and electronic elements. Saxophonist Emile Parisien (one of the most important contemporary jazz musicians), pianist Julien Touéry, bassist Ivan Gélugne and drummer Julien Loutelier break down barriers, change rules and yet know exactly where they want to go.
