Sanem Kalfa, a singer, improviser, composer and classically trained cellist from Trabzon on the southern Black Sea coast, takes the audience on an emotional journey full of longing, feeling and excitement with her versatile, unique voice.
Magical melodies and powerful rhythms merge into a unique blend of jazz, pop, folk and improvised music. Accompanied by first-class jazz musicians such as the renowned Dutch saxophonist Tineke Postma, the virtuoso British pianist Kit Downes and the Cologne drummer Mareike Wiening, she unfolds a spell on stage between fascinating performance art and magical music. The audience can expect a captivating and touching journey into the human soul.
