ALOS QUARTET ON OCTOBER 10 AT KULT
Strong strings with contemporary music
Playing four instruments together so that they sound like one - that is high art and characterizes the music of the Alos Quartet. In addition to violin, viola and cello, the small Basque string orchestra uses the nyckelharpa, a Swedish stringed instrument.
On stage, the musical greats, who formed the quartet more than 25 years ago, impress with their inexhaustible variety of nuances. Their repertoire moves in different areas of contemporary music and sounds like a soundtrack between pop, folk and classical music. Subtle melodic elements, interwoven with powerful and energetic fragments, created a concert experience for the senses at the Münsterland Festival at kult in Vreden. Hypnotic and touching!
The Alos Quartet was also part of the Landpartie in Havixibeck on October 11 (3.30 pm, Tilbeck Abbey). The short concert was open to all interested parties and could be attended for a donation.
Xabier Zeberio also played in the PAUSE Duo on October 9 at Haus Brückhausen in Everswinkel.

THE VENUE: KULTURGUT HAUS NOTTBECK
The kult in Vreden combines state-of-the-art architecture, museum, research and science. In the building, which opened in 2017, the juxtaposition of old and new could not be greater: exposed concrete, dominant clinker brick façades, light-flooded areas and a 'chill-out' zone set an extraordinary accent on the cultural axis of the city of Vreden. Folkloristic and art-historical exhibits invite visitors on a journey back in time over more than 1400 years.
