ALOS QUARTET ON OCTOBER 10 AT KULT

The world's first flamenco harpist
Harp and flamenco don't go together? But Andalusian artist Ana Crismán shows how it works. She is the first in the world to lend a flamenco touch to the classically gentle string sounds of the harp. With her own technique and language, she uses all the rhythmic and melodic possibilities. In this way, she combines the graceful instrument with passionate flamenco.
Crismán's innovative playing moves between improvisation and structure, between classical training and the musical heritage of her homeland. For the Münsterland Festival, she brought her instrument to Germany for the first time and opened up fascinating perspectives on a centuries-old art form with the flamenco harp at the Ahlen Art Museum. Unique!

THE VENUE: KUNSTMUSEUM AHLEN

In a prestigious location at the former west gate of the city, a handsome villa from the Wilhelminian era has been home to the Ahlen Art Museum since 1993. Since its extension in 1996 with a steel and glass composite construction, the building presents itself as a unique ensemble of different epochs in architectural history. The combination of old and new is also reflected in the museum's program, which ranges from classical modernism to the present day.
