Flamenco jazz mixes tradition and innovation

When flamenco guitar and jazz piano meet, the result is a dialog full of passion, virtuosity and tonal finesse. The internationally acclaimed guitarist Juan Gómez - alias "Chicuelo" - and pianist Marco Mezquida, one of the most innovative minds on the European jazz scene, masterfully interweave tradition and modernity to create an intense listening experience. Their playing is flamenco jazz at the highest level - sometimes pulsating and powerful, sometimes delicate and playful. In their third album "Del alma", they are also congenially accompanied by Paco de Mode's subtle playing, which brings additional rhythmic depth to the music.

At the Münsterland Festival, Chicuelo and Marco Mezquida took audiences on a musical journey that transcended genre boundaries in the Kleines Haus of Theater Münster. Nobody could escape the magic of Chicuelo's flamenco guitar.
