The best of both worlds
Daniel García and Pablo Martín Caminero have their roots in classical music, which both describe as their inexhaustible source of inspiration. So it comes as no surprise that pianist García and double bassist Caminero reinterpret pieces by important composers such as Alexander Borodin, Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel and John Williams. With their improvisational skills, they refine and enrich well-known compositions and sensitively blur the boundaries between classical music and jazz.
At the Münsterland Festival at Nordkirchen Castle, they showed how classical sound art and jazzy freedom can inspire each other. Interaction, spontaneity and surprise met care in sound, attention to detail and dynamics. This makes the duo project one of the most original and inspiring on the Spanish music scene.

THE VENUE: NORDKIRCHEN CASTLE
Nordkirchen Palace, also known as the "Westphalian Versailles", is the most important baroque palace complex in Westphalia. Today's castle, built according to plans by the Münster court architect Gottfried Laurenz Pictorius and completed by Johann Conrad Schlaun in 1734 with a magnificent park, is now the property of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. For many years, the well-established palace concert series in the Oranienburg has offered a top-class musical mix.
