DAVID MARTÍN GUTIÉRREZ AND ANA BAKRADZE AT SANDFORT CASTLE ON NOVEMBER 1

Music connects worlds
When talent, passion and cultural diversity come together, something very special is created. This is also the case with David Martín Gutiérrez and Ana Bakradze, who met at the renowned Berlin University of the Arts. Since then, the Georgian-born pianist and the Spanish cellist have been inspiring audiences with their captivating musical collaboration.
The young duo's program is diverse and yet typically Spanish: from touching arias from the opera repertoire to popular Spanish songs, spirited dances and fiery flamenco sounds. At the Münsterland Festival at Sandfort Castle in Olfen, guests were treated to a repertoire that bridges the gap between the two cultures.

THE VENUE: VISCHERING CASTLE

Sandfort Castle in Olfen is a moated castle and was first mentioned in the 13th century. The complex was originally walled and, in addition to the manor house from the 17th or early 18th century, includes a house with two round towers and two neoclassical farm buildings. The manor house, which has been altered several times, is characterized by its square tower with a baroque dome. The estate is owned by the Count of Hagen-Plettenberg.
