Original folklore with many roots
"Folklore" is the title of Lucia Fumero's latest album and is an expression of the cultural heritage that has surrounded the composer, pianist and singer since her childhood. Her music is influenced by her Catalan, Argentinian and Swiss roots. After a classical piano education, Fumero studied Latin music in Rotterdam and jazz piano in her home city of Barcelona.
At the Münsterland Festival, she combined traditional songs with instrumental jazz themes in an original, fresh and flowing way, sometimes surprising the audience with electronic and spherical sounds. Folklore was a statement from the heart, a response to Fumero's search for identity. She brought this enormous musical range to the creative stage of the B-Side with her trio in the port of Münster - full of sound and soul.

THE VENUE: B-SIDE
The B-Side is an open place of possibilities that is developed, designed and managed by many people in a self-organized way. It is located in the former Hill warehouse directly on Münster's harbor. With great civic commitment, this was converted into a modern complex with event and seminar rooms, a neighborhood living room, communal kitchen, offices, studios and rehearsal rooms from 2021.
