A Mediterranean sound frenzy
Colorful, energetic and boundless: This describes the music of pianist Marco Mezquida from Menorca. He combines meditative passages with driving grooves, blues with minimalist jazz and punky impulses with Latin American rhythms - spiced up with a touch of Iberian sensuality. His compositions are poetic journeys of sound, rooted in the Mediterranean and open to the world.
Mezquida is accompanied by Aleix Tobías on drums and percussion and Martín Meléndez on cello. Together they form a multi-layered sound cosmos full of depth and vibrant colors. At the Münsterland Festival in the Bürgerhaus Saerbeck, they brought a Mediterranean sound frenzy full of exuberant joy to the stage.
Marco Mezquida came to Theater Münster for another guest performance. There he played together with Chicuelo on October 19.

THE VENUE: BÜRGERHAUS SAERBECK
The former Hunnekuhl farm is one of Saerbeck's old farms and was first mentioned around 1400. Today's half-timbered house dates from the early 19th century and was converted into a community center in 1983. The former hall and stables now serve as a cultural and meeting center for the community with a citizens' hall and fireplace room.
