EXCURSION: BAUMBERGE. HORSES. CAMINO. THE 9TH MÜNSTERLAND RIDE ON OCTOBER 11TH AT THE ALTROGGE-TERBRACK RIDING SCHOOL IN NOTTULN

Westphalian culture meets the spirit of the Camino
A pilgrimage doesn't have to end in Santiago de Compostela - sometimes Nottuln is the perfect destination. At the 9th Münsterland Ride, riders followed a route that combines nature, community and a touch of Spanish culture. The approximately 25 or 30-kilometre ride leads through the Münsterland countryside - with views like those in Galicia in northern Spain.
The starting point was the Altrogge-Terbrack riding school in Nottuln. From there, the route followed well-maintained paths towards Gerleve Monastery to Billerbeck, where a lunch break was an invitation to pause for a moment. As in Spain, where pilgrims have found refuge in monasteries for centuries, Westphalian culture met the spirit of the Camino here. With Münsterland tapas and a picnic on the monastery meadow, the riding experience, enjoyment and encounters were combined.
A day like a short pilgrimage: full of nature, community and a touch of Spanish joie de vivre.
Conditions of participation
Participation is only possible with your own horse. Cross-country experience and an annual influenza vaccination are required.
THE VENUE: WASSERSCHLOSS RAESFELD

The Altrogge-Terbrack riding school in Nottuln is idyllically situated in the middle of the Baumberge mountains. The farm offers two indoor riding arenas, an outdoor arena that can be ridden all year round and an eventing arena with cross-country obstacles, stables, paddocks, its own riding trails for beautiful rides, large pastures and overnight accommodation. Perfect for riding courses at any level. The combination of equestrian sport and a retreat close to nature makes the farm a special place in the heart of Münsterland.
