Pure atmosphere with a Nordic touch

Listening to Xabier Zeberio's music makes you float. It feels like a sleepy awakening in the early morning, a quiet walk through misty meadows or deserted landscapes. PAUSE is a project, a work and the name of an album all in one. In different line-ups, atmospheric sounds are created that invite the listener on densely interwoven journeys of thought and stop time. Always a little melancholy, always a little unfinished, always addictive.

The creator of this atmosphere is a trained violinist with a great love of the nyckelharpa, a Swedish stringed instrument. It lends his music a special magic. At the Münsterland Festival in Haus Brückhausen, Xabier Zeberio presented PAUSE as a duo with Iñar Sastre on the piano - a break from everyday life that became an inner journey.

Haus Brückhausen was an influential manor house in the region for centuries. First mentioned in a document in 1361, it was extended around 1600 for its owner at the time, Caspar Höfflinger. In addition to a moat around the house and farmyard, the multi-storey brick manor house was also built, which has been preserved to this day. The beamed stucco ceiling in the great hall, which is unique in the Münsterland region, is well worth seeing.
